In the scorched heart of 1950s Australia, Jimmy, a broken young English migrant, steps off the RMS Orion with little more than a suitcase and the weight of grief. Sent to work on a remote sheep station, Jimmy is surrounded by silence: the kind that echoes across red earth and sits heavy between men raised never to speak their pain. But when he crosses paths with Jarrah, a Munarrakalai Elder, and Amanda, a fiercely independent woman guarding secrets of her own, Jimmy is drawn into a journey that will test every truth he holds about identity, land, and belonging.

Jimmy Brown – A displaced Englishman raised in a Yorkshire orphanage, Jimmy arrives in Australia chasing a fresh start. But beneath the Outback sun, he finds only silence and struggle. Haunted by loss and longing, he’s not just looking for work—he’s searching for a place to belong. As the land strips away his past, Jimmy must confront who he is—and who dares to become.
Amanda Olsen –A spirited, forward-thinking young woman caught between her father’s shadow and her own awakening. Dhirari – Dhirrari is an experienced Aboriginal stockman in his forties and one of the most important influences on Jimmy Brown’s journey. Lean, weathered and immensely capable, he carries the strength of a man shaped by hard work, Country and survival. His rope-like muscles, chipped incisor, small scar at the temple and sun-marked skin reflect a life lived outdoors.
Quietly observant and rarely wasteful with words, Dhirrari teaches Jimmy that the Australian landscape cannot be conquered; it must be understood and respected. Through practical lessons, patience and example, he helps the young migrant recognise knowledge beyond his own experience. Dhirrari becomes both mentor and friend, guiding Jimmy towards humility, belonging and personal transformation.
Derek Olsen- A powerful but tormented land baron whose grip on the region—and on Amanda—is built on control, fear, and silence. Behind his bluster lies a man fractured by grief and the slow erosion of power. Derek suffers in isolation, a product of generational stoicism and emotional suppression. His mental unravelling is quiet, dangerous, and often turned outward in acts of cruelty. He is the last gasp of a fading empire, blind to the ground shifting beneath his boots—and too broken to let go.
Ngarra- Amanda’s adopted mother, she becomes a gentle but guiding presence, helping her navigate identity, belonging, and the space between two worlds. Though Ngarra speaks little, her silence carries meaning, and her care is felt more than spoken.

We remain open to ongoing collaboration with First Nations advisors during any future stage or screen development.

The connection was restored within twenty minutes and gaming resumed without problems. The technician was patient and clear with instructions.
